Kiara Danae

Kiara Danae (she/they) is an independent filmmaker, photographer, and multidisciplinary artist based in Maryland by way of North Carolina. Their work reflects the intimacies of the black southern experience, spirituality and the complexities of the family dynamic through untold ancestral stories that long to be unearthed. Kiara is a Visionary Justice StoryLab fellow and thesis candidate at Howard University earning their MFA in Film.

Joseph is a highly skilled and passionate video producer, motion graphics animator, and cinematographer pursuing a graduate degree in Film at Howard University. He is deeply committed to telling powerful stories within the diaspora, shedding light on diverse cultures and rich histories that have often been unheard of. His creativity, technical expertise, and passion for amplifying underrepresented voices make him a valuable asset in video production.

Sea
PRODUCER
Sea is an international award winning filmmaker and birth worker of Caribbean heritage. They blend grounded horror and myth-making with spirituality and ancestral wisdom to tell stories of grief, motherhood and self possession. Sea is a 2024-2025 fellow with Baldwin for the Arts as well as a 2024 Resisting Narratives of Erasure fellow with Visionary Justice StoryLab. Their work is guided by Black feminist principles both in story and in process. Sea is an MFA film thesis candidate at Howard University.
